"After a 2 week break for Thanksgiving, the band came back sounding exceptionally strong. The Venue (The Riviera, Chicago): When Chris says "It's cold outside" he wasn't kidding - the temp outside was 14 degrees without the windchill (and it was windy) and although the Riv was not heated, by the end of the show the space was hot. If you ever have an opportunity to see a band at the Riv - don't miss the chance. It is small and there really isn't a bad "seat" in the house. I sat in the Balcony and it was a treat to see the band perform up close and personal. A compliment should also go out to those in charge of lighting as they really involved the folks in the balcony as well. The Crowd: I can't speak to whether the show sold out but my uncalibrated eyes spied a pretty packed venue. The balcony alone was filled to the brim with fans standing in the aisles (and being pushed along by security) throughout the show. The crowd was a mix of young and old and with few exceptions the gentle people reigned that night. It was one mass of people there to enjoy a hot rock-n-roll show on a cold and windy night. The Show: As noted the band returned from a holiday break energized. They all sounded great and the performances were stellar. The quality of the recording really captures the level of this performance. Even the show ran a little longer than expected clocking in at 130 minutes (well past what I though was the 11pm curfew at the Riv). The recording really speaks for itself. A great mix of old and new, with tight musical performances. Even the crowd noise comes through in a positive way, as the crowd was very appreciative and very loud. I own a number of different live recordings by the Crowes including recordings from this past tour. Although there is a natural inclination to be partial to the shows you have experienced live I have to say without a doubt that I think this is one of the best performances and recordings from this past tour. I don't know if it was the 2 week break, the fact that they were winding down the tour, the brisk weather or the vibe from the crowd/venue. Whatever it was it really came through that night and I believe it continues on in the released recording. See you at the Show....."

"I'm wondering about the artwork as well. This show was released 5 days ago."

"It would be great to have access to the CD Artwork for these last few shows: Chcago/Detroit/Milwaukee Is it inevitable or just an oversight. Cheers"

"This was my first show seeing Luther and Adam. The band is on fire now and sounds better than ever. It's great to see them smiling on stage. This was the perfect show to start out my run of shows that I refer to as Crowescember. Highlights for me were hearing smokin' versions of Dirty Hair Halo, the Amorica tunes, Good Friday, and Cold Rain and Snow. The new material also shined. The Milwaukee show at The Rave is also a must have when it's posted. Peace!"
