"Nicole, I love the Crowes too. I think it was lame what he did, but he does have a different perspective and I am sure he has people try to stalk him and stuff all the time, so he reacted the way he did.. also, it probably wasn't the smartest thing to do by trying to jump on stage while he performs. I think Chris is an asshole. I'm not going to lie or sugarcoat it. I go to their shows to see Rich, Steve, Luther (or Audley, Paul etc...), Sven, and Adam/Eddie make music with Chris at the helm. Chris is not the only member of the Black Crowes. I think some players on my favorite sports teams are assholes. But they are good at what they do and I pay money to see them do their job well. Same with my favorite bands."

"Nicole, I wasn't at the Miami show (live in austin) but I'm sorry you had a dissappointing experience. Before writing Chris Robinson off as an asshole I'd like to suggest we try to look at it from his perspective. He had no idea who you are, what your intentions were, what you would do if you got up on stage, etc. All he could see was someone trying to get on stage while he's trying to do his job. He could've been reacting out of concern for his own safety, out of concern for the disruption in the show for the rest of the audience, or because the interruption took him out of a certain mind space he was in for the show or that song. As audiences and fans we often forget that our experience is vastly different than that of the performer or our idols. While we're at the concert grooving to the music, the musicians may be worrying about bad sound on stage, lighting queues that are out of synch, making sure that they are giving the best performance possible, and other stressors that we as an audience aren't aware of. And with this band there is the added dynamic of two brothers who make great music together, but don't get along personally. To me Chris always looks like he is in a "zone" when he is performing and he may simply have been reacting to being jerked out of that zone during a performance. Of course I could be completly wrong. He may have just been being an ass. Either way I'm sorry your experience was marred by this incident. The BC shows are generally too wonderful to be bummed out like that. "

"Thanks 2112, Actually my friend found this blog. she was with me at the show, she was watching from the back. we've been looking online to see if there were comments about it, or even any video of it.im surprised i wasnt injured at all, but i guess he didnt hit me that hard, but it sure felt like it. actually my face and chest were throbbing for awhile, but i didnt have any marks on me.I was kind of shocked cuz after I was knocked down people were cheering and i couldn't understand why. but from what ive been reading, people thought he had broken up a fight. i was actually pissed off from the beginning of that show cuz when i bought the tix on line thru ticket master, i had purchased tix that where "closest to the stage", and when we got there, supposedly they had run out of green bands, so we were not allowed to get close to the stage and had to stay in a section behind the front section. that was pretty unfair. so i had to sneak up to the front. Yeah it was a great show, but I just dont feel the same about them anymore. and its not like im a fair weather fan, ive loved them since day one. couldnt believe the anger he displayed. thanks for your support, and from others too, it has made me feel better."

"Yeah, I was a couple of people behind you.... When I saw him push you off the rail, I was pretty dissapointed in him...pissed actually... You ran by me, and I felt bad for you, and thought one less black crowes fan. I could understand if it was a big guy climbing up there, but you are not a big guy.... Anyways, i cant beleive you actually read this...small world!! Anyways my condolences, cause that sucked for you, especially coming from a "peaceful" band.... It was a good show especially opening with movin on down the line...I wish they would have played more older stuff...I was the guy yelling "soul singing" -my favorite!! Oh well...."

"Oh my god, I am the chick that Chris Robinson smashed his mic phone stand against! There was no fighting as previously stated.I waited til the very end of the show and I simply was feeling the love, and so badly wanted to get on stage to hug him. He has been my idol and I am totally in love with him and seen countless crowe shows in Florida. Someone gave me a boost with their hands, I put one foot in their hands and as the other leg came up to reach the stage, I felt something crash into my chest and upper body. I don't think I fell to the ground, but I was pushed back down thinking it was security that had bum rushed me or something, but when i looked up i saw Chris, his face was so mean and angry and I read his lips saying, "not cool" as he made a cut throat gesture with his hand. I stood there for a minute stunned, then ran out crying. I couldn't believe it. I still love him, but think he is a total asshole. His eyes were real red and puffy, so maybe he was just paranoid from all the weed he smoked. I dont know, but I am still very hurt and cant believe it."
