"This show definitely kicked ass. I wouldn't have minded hearing some more of the newer tunes, but can't complain about this great setlist and the hot jams that were going down. It's a great little venue there. (I did not notice a big police presence, although I did see some people commenting on Facebook about tokers getting hassled by security in the crowd.) "Oh Sweet Nuthin" was a fantastic encore, maybe even better than the 10/31/98 Phish version that I am partial to. Thrilled to see they added another Stubbs BBQ show in Austin for September, the 10/13/09 show there was great..."

"WOW! This was my 7th Crowes show within two years and this set list absolutely blew me away! As did the great vibe in the outdoor amphitheater with the Guadalupe River and large overhanging trees as the backdrop. I attended the show with a literal "girl from a pawnshop" and we had an incredible time rocking out with those in our circle! I knew something was going to be different when they opened with Soul Singing and Chris could tell the audience was ready to "sing, sing, sing along, sing sing along." I was impressed with the bands energy and it really felt like audience and band were connecting on every level. Heavy on Amorica tunes which suited this listener perfectly. I loved the triple threat of High Head, Cursed Diamond, then into Wiser Time. The arrangement on Last Place That Love Lives was a significant change from the studio version but the uptempo feel, yet laid back groove really made this gem come alive. The addition of My Morning Song was a complete surprise and of course the extended jam was a stellar performance with alot of back and forth between Luther and Chris! Finally getting to hear this live was incredible! And to top it off, a soulful rendition of Seeing Things floored me! Still not letting up as Sting Me and Sunflower followed, I was in Crowes Heaven man! Jealous Again? Hey what they hell it was a big hit, throw it in the set then back to vintage form with a blazing No Speak No Slave! For me this was a perfect set list played with great vigor and connection with the crowd! The encore was a great way to finish with Oh Sweet Nuthin (a personal favorite cover for me), then hammering it all home and giving everyone their "remedy." This is pure, American rock and roll at its finest! Can't wait for the triple show weekend coming up in September; Houston, Austin, and Dallas! Oh yeah, i'll be at all three! I'm the long haired cat wearing the Crowes Crest t-shirt! Feel free to join me and "sing, sing, sing along, sing sing along." "
