"Highlights for me were Anyone and the breakbeat GITL! "

"Jam-heavy first set! Broken Wing features some Remedy-like jamming in the middle. Kicked-off by Cory with some soulful piano, this section finishes with some heartfelt and inspired playing from Brian before returning to BW proper and funking-out for a few before slowing down and transitioning into the first Hollywood of 2024. This transition is quiet and intimate a la the 7/7/19 version -> from VBD. Hollywood serves as a quick-but-blissful bridge to Alternate Ending, the first time the two songs have been paired together (I believe). I don’t have medical training, but if you don’t feel a tug on your heart strings during this AE, you might want to see a doctor. If nothing else, at least get a pulse check. This song has always been taken to level 10, but some of the versions over the past 13 months – chiefly 12/31/22, 5/5/23, and 7/15/23 – have brought it to level 11. File this one in with those. After AE they drop into Anyone and continue the theme from the night before -> Palisades. That theme is taking a straightforward part of the song and taking it on a side adventure. Last night it was an extended transition to Palisades, and tonight we have an extended (3+ minutes) intro into Anyone, focusing mainly on Cory, who goes ballistic during this time. I’ve said it numerous times this tour: the level of comfort, communication, and musicianship is showing through in a number of places, and this is sort of “micro” jamming is an evident one (to me, at least). The jam in Anyone is a dance party – driven by Jordan and Nick; themed by Cory and brought to the promise land by Brian – listen in a place where you can move as the music inspires you to. Glenn Frey, founding member of the Eagles, was born in Detroit and raised nearby. Brian sneaks in a few teases from Glenn’s “You Belong to the Night” towards the end of Giants in the Light. The Jam out of Aeroplane is as light as a feather, floating gently into the All In set closer. I don’t have anything to add about this version, so I’ll leave you with this: All In was listed as “Combo Combo” (First Time Played – no name yet) on the audience recording from 2/21/15. "

"Love this bad and what they're doing so far this year, but I have to disagree with the poster above. I don't like the breakbeat version of Giants, sounds cheap and cringey to me. The original is much better IMO."
