Legends like Doc Watson, Red Allen, Frank Wakefield, Old & In The Way, Tony Rice, John Hartford, and the Del McCoury Band are just a part of the Acoustic Disc roster featured on this new compilation. Also included is a bonus track, "How Mountain Gals Can Love" by Ralph Stanley & The Clinch Mt. Boys with David Grisman issued here for the first time. Country music historian Douglas Green (known to many as "Ranger Doug" from Riders In The Sky) provides a historical look at the world of bluegrass and its impact on contemporary music.
