"WOW! Nashville, you were something special! ?? I have seen Dave Matthews Band more times than I can count, traveled countless miles, and made some of the most incredible memories along the way. And somehow, after all these years, this band STILL manages to blow me away! Friday night at Bridgestone Arena was absolutely phenomenal! From opening with Grux > Shake Me Like a Monkey to closing with Tripping Billies, the energy was incredible. Grace Is Gone, So Right, Warehouse, Big Eyed Fish into Bartender, Crush, and Pig — what a night! And having Stephen Wilson Jr., Emmylou Harris, and Jake Simpson join them made it even more special. There is just something about this band that I cannot put into words. The musicianship, the chemistry, the improvisation, the way they feed off one another, and the way no two shows are ever the same. Dave, Tim, Carter, Stefan, Rashawn, Jeff, and Buddy each bring something extraordinary to that stage. Together, they create a kind of magic that never gets old. And being right up front, watching it all unfold, is an experience I will never take for granted. People sometimes ask how I can keep going to so many shows. My answer is simple: When something brings you this much happiness, why would you ever stop? This band has been the soundtrack to so many chapters of my life. It’s so much more than music to me. It’s the anticipation before the show, the friendships made along the way, the memories, the emotions, and those moments when everything else in the world just disappears and it’s all about the music. I will never get tired of hearing these songs, watching these incredibly talented musicians do what they love, or feeling that excitement when the lights go down. "
