*All four members of Metallica made it to Donington this year!

*This was the seventh time Metallica has played Donington . . . well, fifth time if you choose to ignore 1987 and 2004 like Lars does.

*This was the first time Metallica has played The Unforgiven at Donington.

*When Metallica played Donington in 1995, they performed two new songs (2x4 and Devil’s Dance). Keeping in that tradition, they performed one new song this time around.

*The last time Metallica played Leper Messiah at Donington was on August 22, 1987.
