*The last time Metallica performed Dublin was on June 11, 2006 at the Download Festival.

*This was the 10th time that the band has performed in Dublin and the 12th time they’ve performed in Ireland. The first time they played in the country was on September 14, 1986.

*This was the first time that Whiskey in the Jar was performed since, well, the last time they were in Dublin . . . on June 11, 2006. It’s become a tradition to dust off that song every time they visit. It was the 25th performance of the song since 1998.

*This was the first time in 22 years that Ride the Lightning was performed in Ireland. It had been previously been played twice . . . once in Dublin (September 14, 1986) and once in Belfast (September 15, 1986).

*This was the first time in nine years that The Memory Remains was performed in Dublin. It has only been played in Dublin one other time which was on July 5, 1999.
