"Coconut Phil, all five shows from this year`s Winter Carnival are amazing. If I had to rank them, it would go 1) 3-23, 2) 3-26, 3) 3-24, 4) 3-27, 5) 3-22. If you want to download one of the best ever String Cheese shows, copy and paste this link: http://www.archive.org/details/sci2000-11-18.dsbd.shnf That show and any other show from November of 2000 (and most of the soundboards are available for free at archive.org) are as good as it gets."

"Nice show, wasn`t there, but see you at camp ZOE!!!!!!!!YEESSSSSS"

"Great music, this is my first SCI show to be downloaded. I`m a Dead head, WSP, Moe freak. Any one got any suggestions on a killer show for me to jam to? Keep Jamming America. Coconut Phil. June 2, 2007."

"Sloppy playin? Come on Rob were you even at the show? I thought it was superb myself. Can`t wait til ZOE!!! "

Rob B 5/5/2007 4:46:36 PM

"Great setlist, but sloppy playing overall, especially in the transitions. IMO the 23rd and 24th were much better played, and if you really want to hear how Drew Emmitt meshes with SCI you need to go back to April 5-7, 2005."

"Well after reading the reviews, it seems that many people thought this was the best night of the WC. Personally I loved it. This show had alot more energy than the previou night. Sand Dollar, African Skies were my highlights. And please don`t talk shit about them throwing down Shakedown Street.... It was great and definately a crowd pleaser. Drew Emmit is definately one of my favorite musicians and it was sweet to see him take the stage with the band. Also, I was definately waiting for that Howard, and I know you rider, was an excellent encore choice. But, my cd-burner will not burn the second disc with the Howard on it, because it`s over 80 minutes total. So, I`ve had to burn the Howard onto the third disc.... Which kinda sucks."

"Wow - what a wonderful WC! Thank you everyone who shared your love and came out for the best carnival since `99 (for me, anyway). It seems to me that the loving vibe and the band`s energy is fueled by knowing that we all came together for this experience and, though we might miss it, it`s exciting to move on to a new chapter in our lives. I`m just greatful that I have been part of something so powerful. How about that freakin Rivertrance!?!?!? Smiles, hugs....."

"weird review crizzo, guess you just felt differently about the show. the dead songs look like coincidence to me. shakedown street is a random one, but i know you rider has always been in the regular rotation. tangled up in blue was only played because drew was there, and has nothing to do with jerry garcia. everybody has played that song. great show i thought. still sad that billy has decided to leave. its weird, because watching the shows it seems like nothing has changed since he announced it."

"I have a lot of died hard cheese fans say this was one their favorite all time cheese shows. This was my 90th cheese show and I personally was very disappointed in it for it being one of their last. The show started very slow and transitions very sloppy. Unless its Jerrys birthday you dont have ride the deads coatails that much when cheese is very well capable of doing their own thing especially when it supposed to be your last shows. Shakedown, Slipknot teases, I know you Rider, Tangled up in Blue(Dylan song but Jerry brought it to life), come on? Thats how they go out? I want to remember cheese for cheese not for them kissing ass to deadheads and catering to kids who never got a chance to see the dead. As much as I love cheese I agree with Billys unfortunate choice to leave the band and stop trying to "fuel a psychedelic vein and away from the Americana folk roots" like he said. Once keith is wearing make up and there is an inflatable penis flying in the crowd you know something is just wrong. Very, very, sad. I am so glad I have plenty of other great memories of this band."

"This was my favorite show of the tour, but I was slightly biased. Shakedown was a nice surprise, and I`ll take Drew singing Dylan any day. I`m not usually a big Howard fan but this one was huge. Highlight of the show was definitely the Black Clouds Reprise, with Billy just shredding it and the whole band building to the crescendo perfectly."

"Wow!!! Nothin` shakin` on Shakedown Street. Used to be the heart of town. Don`t tell me this town ain`t got no heart. You just gotta poke around. "

Focker 3/30/2007 2:33:06 PM

"I fuckin love CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE.....see you boys this summer"

ETAK 3/29/2007 9:41:09 PM

"wow. My brain is just a pile of mush in the ocean of my head after this week! I got a jelly tattoo at new years and they didn`t play the song, so I was stoked to get it on tuesday. What an awesome ending to an awesome week. All I know, is that I know you rider at the end....what a spiritual high with the lights on looking at all the faces I shared the energy of the night with...Everyone was on a different level singing that. Thank you so much cheese. "

Brett 3/29/2007 8:18:46 PM

"Thank you so much String Cheese, you will never know how much your music has meant to me over the past 3 years. I have learned so much from the scene at the shows about loving and caring for complete strangers, I have never met such an ecclectic group of good people in my entire life under one roof. Thanks again cheese, the carnival was INSANE"

Remington 3/29/2007 10:35:04 AM

"Unbelieveable end to an epic week in Colorado... listening to the recording all I can say is wow... Tangled Up in Drew! "

jj 3/29/2007 10:16:45 AM

"Fantastic end to winter carnival and a stellar night of music to be remembered forever…….Thank you guys so much for all of the love, jams, and great times! I will forever remember Billy running around the entire stage stopping to play drums with Jason before returning to his martin to finish off Jellyfish. I can’t believe that the band is choosing to end something so positive so soon. Billy, please reconsider leaving you really belong here with SCI and our great community. We love HHS as well and will continue to support both of your projects just please don`t leave SCI. "
