"I've seen cheese, I've seen wsp. The main difference, hula hoops, light sticks, authentic freaks uninhibited in their enjoyment. So what's the problem? I was turned on to cheese in the parking lot of a 99' wsp red rocks show by some dredded chicks who where looking for a ticket. Apples and oranges. Just enjoy the "live ride", a good thing doesn't come to town too often. On these shows. Stellar. I enjoyed hearing the old stuff. (since i lost track of panic from 2002 while dancing my ass off to cheese). Heck, I liked these shows so much, I had to get copies... old zep, dead, phish, sci, wsp, moe, british blues fan... just dance dammit"

"The Everyday Companion, invariably true to its just-the-facts-Jack reporting and compiling, may need to utilize a new term: "the weave." Sure, "The End" rap by JB could be considered just that, an EC traditional "rap." But have a listen as JB actually SINGS from the Book of Morrison while the band keeps perfect time free for the Bell. As for the weave, "Riders On The Storm" is well beyond just a tease. Typically, a tease involves one or two musicians. The transition around 11:34 leads the entire band into "Riders," and then the Bell singularly weaves "Time Is Free" back over the riders. All are free to pick their terms, but this sounds like Galaxy Class weaving to me. Loveland must have been elevated another 4,982 ft above sea level. When listening, I actually feel genuine concern for some the experienced CO fans. They can handle the elements better than most, but this is pure California Voodoo. "

"hey bigriver panic, you are a fucking idiot. You hated these shows with the greatest live rock and roll band since the Grateful Dead. It shows how low your IQ is dumb ass. Widespread is the greatest rock and roll band touring today. FUCK STRING CHEESE INCIDENT. ROCK ON WIDESPREAD MOTHERFUCKING PANIC. YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"This is a killer show, all those slamming SCI should really move on. WP and SCI are great bands. I don`t dig a lot of bands, but I will refrain from bashing them on this site. WP is having a killer tour and a new album in the works. I`m a happy fan thats always looking for the next jam."

"I thought this was to post comments about how the PANIC shows were this weekend...not how much cheese sucks, or how much cheese heads hate panic...get a fucking life, man...both are great bands to see live and the purpose of this blog is not to bash anyone for that matter...I thought both nights were GREAT and I`ve never heard a "nobody`s fault but mine"...blown away. I love seeing these guys in a smaller venue as well. Hats off to the event center in Loveland! What a great weekend!! Thanks again guys, look forward to summer `08"

"WSP with herring bestrock music for 35 to 45 year olds? well i`m 44 so i guess i get to hang around for one more year!!! tennessee(ryman),tennessee there ain`t no place i`d rather be"
tba — 10/18/2007 12:10:18 AM
"And people wonder why Colorodo framed Phish at Red Rocks. String Chess is the gayest band on earth--not that there is anything wrong with that..... WSP with Herring is the best 35-45 age music since Phish and Pearl Jam period. They can play any style and any transition. Herring now not only does the fret runs of say an ARU, but can get stoney from Phil days, although I guess the Colonel really made him versatile and stoney way back in the good old days. :<)"

"I wasn`t at the show, didn`t hear it (but very interested in downloading the 2 Colorado shows), but reading the posts are funny...2 losers who are into Cheese, not only #1) Purchasing Panic Tickets, but #2) at the WSP Live Widespread Panic Official Site (I`m sure to download the show?? - why else would you be on the site??), and #3) posting a comment on the site...if you`re so not into Panic, you could`ve fooled me?!?.... WSP is pure rock...get a clue...Jimmy Herring kicks ass...aside from Houser, it`s the best this band has been!! Can`t wait to catch `em again next time around..."

"This is an opportunity for fans to post show reviews to each other! Some of the negative sh*t that gets typed by the as*hole fingers is a waste of everyone`s time! Save your petty cryin` and whinin` for your my space page and let`s get back to what this is all about, KICK ASS MUSIC!"
coloradopanic — 10/17/2007 4:44:16 PM
"Friday was the fire!!!! action man to heat things bup fast...then the pigeons, glory, rebirtha! Thanks for bringin the glory back boys. You Got Yours always brings Houser`s spirit back on the stage. Nobody`s Fault is so dirty i thought JB was ganna need a shower and simply one of the best Conrads i`ve ever heard!! A of D>Diner has got to be some of the best Panic ever and the Drining sandwich with time is free could not of been better. Rider`s tease and the End rap are you kidding me does not get any better than that!!! Ane Ene of the Show Bowlegged is the best Encore i`ve seen in like the last 20 shows!!!! Thanks Panic and you are weak bigriverpanic"

PANIC!!!! — 10/17/2007 3:45:50 PM
"Why are people that aren`t into Panic going to a show at a 5,000 cap. venue in Colorado? Some real good people got shut out of these shows cause of you panic hating cheesies. Next time, save your money for the next Nershi solo tour, losers. Let the real spreadheads have those tickets. And these shows were HOT HOT HOT! If you can`t feel that, you`ve got no business being in the room. P.S. Ever wonder why Cheese has a laser show, fire dancers, hoop dancers, and all that? It`s cause the music aint that good. Tell Mike Kang to get a full-sized guitar and quit playin that little ukele of his."

Great Show — 10/17/2007 12:22:07 PM
"This show kicked ass, what a way to start the weekend! Great playing all the way though, these guys are really hitting on all cylinders with Jimmy. The opening jam was stellar, kicking off an energy that lasts through the end of a nasty Bowlegged. After a few listens to the weekend, I think this show has eclipsed the second night for me musically, although Saturday night`s second set was one of the best I`ve see/heard in a long time. "
Mark H. — 10/17/2007 12:02:32 PM
"If you don`t like going to see Panic play live, please don`t buy tickets!! When Panic comes to Colorado it is almost impossible to get tickets to all the shows, which sucks. Leave the tickets for people who are dying to see them. It doesn`t help that Ticketmaster wasn`t selling the tickets, Comcast tickets could not handle the masses, so I missed out on Saturday`s show. I`ve seen better Panic shows than this one, but we had such a great time. We found a great place that was not in the seats to dance, so much fun!! "
billm — 10/17/2007 11:59:26 AM
"You cheese heads must have assumed room temperature long before you ever saw WP live if you didn`t like them. If they don`t get your feet moving and expand your conscieneness you`ve got to be deaf or dead. Did you bother getting out of your coffins to see the show? I`m 60 years old and have seen all the great bands live since the mid 60`s. Any WP show is as good as anything I`ve ever seen. If you want to go yodel on the mountaintop, go see String Cheese. If you want to rock and roll, you missed the boat."
cheese sucks — 10/17/2007 11:18:24 AM
"Wow! Panic being too loud? If the music`s too loud, your too old! Those were the best shows with Jimmy that I have seen yet. He and the band are melding better than ever, course he is the band too. As for the cheese, you smelly hippie, they don`t hold a candle to the energy put out at a Panic show. Go rub down your hula hoop in some petuli oil and leave real rock n roll to the experts!"
rbdickson@springsips.com — 10/17/2007 10:43:30 AM
"great show but a little loud a times.thats the bands style power in your face.string cheese is a different beast too bad they seem done. everyone should celebrate both bands.i praise widespread keep going full steam ahead!great rebirtha and jams leading into both sets."
f panic — 10/17/2007 10:30:03 AM
"i agree completley with bigriverpanic i`d much rather see an incident than any panic show. String Cheese is 1000000000000 times better than Widespread live!"
Cheese Hater — 10/17/2007 9:24:57 AM
"Go Hula Hoop to Cheese, you homo. Second set kicked ass, Second night was the hottest panic show I`ve seen in years. You shouldn`t be ALLOWED to see panic anymore."
billm — 10/16/2007 10:17:53 PM
"There`s no such thing as a bad Panic show. My suggestion would be to clean the cow shit out of your ears before you go see them again. Better yet, don`t bother going. It must have been a real joy being anywhere near you at the show."
Brady — 10/16/2007 9:58:24 PM
"Yeah buddy go dance to your lame ass cheese, both nights in Loveland where off the hook."
TheDenverB — 10/16/2007 9:39:23 PM
"and we`d be glad to not have you around. fun show, second set was great (from what i remember). Hopefully the guys can find a better place to play next time they come through out of red rocks season though."
Bigriverpanic — 10/16/2007 7:49:38 PM
"I hated this show. I dont even think this band should be allowed to play live shows anymore. I would rather hula hoop to cheese anyday."
