"This is my Panic, Sunny firing on all cylinders and George ripping it like there’s no tomorrow"

    Tom Hardin 10/26/2017 5:57:38 PM

"I was at this beautiful venue for George's last show as guitarist of WSP and he went out the best way he could. I remember thinking that George was the highlight of the show which never happened. No wonder, he was going back to Oxford Lata that night! Bye McConnell, welcome Holt then Herring! "

    John 9/20/2006 5:57:59 PM

"Download this show just for the fact that it is George McConnell"s last performance with WSP. I am a Gmac fan and proud of it! George, ever being the southern gentleman that he is, let`s Keane do his thing, but when it`s his turn he is nothing short of excellent! The whole show is gem! Great setlist and performance by the band. George McConnell RULES, no matter what anyone says!"

"For anyone that cares, in addition to what is listed in the notes, Keane is on guitar for Walkin`, North, Time Waits and Fishwater. He is on pedal steel for Ain`t Life Grand. I can`t tell if he is out there for Low Spark or not. And one other thing, this show rules. "

"Herring was who I was referring to. What I was trying to say was, "As much as I`ve been rooting for Sam, Herring was the best decision they have made since forming a band." Sorry if I was unclear. I am stoked!!!!!!!"

    John 8/4/2006 8:49:58 PM

"Patfield, Haven`t you read the news release on the Homepage? Jimmy Herring is taking over as the new lead guitarist. Didn`t see any mention of Sam Holt... hmmmmm."

    ChronJuan420 8/4/2006 6:56:37 PM

"Insane show!! widespread never seems to fail when i see them...pure insanity!! Sick show, and it sounds great...i had the time of my life! Aint life grand???"

    PATFIELD 8/4/2006 6:36:18 PM

"As much as I`ve been rooting for Sam, Panic just made the best decision they have made since they decided to form a rock band. It was the best decision for the band, the fans, and (most importantly) the music. We are about to ascend to uncharted heights. You can quote me on this, just wait and see..."

    Cheetah9 8/4/2006 1:09:10 PM

"The Fox is the only joint to see Panic, and of course they rocked it out. Everytime I see these guys, they keep getting better. About the George thing, stuff happens. "

    mstrpce420 8/4/2006 12:45:57 PM

"Thank you George. You will always be a member of Widespread Panic. You will be missed"

    Missouri 8/4/2006 11:31:00 AM

"Remember folks, the band has to spend a lot of time with eachother while they are on the road. The band is much more likely to stay together if everyone gets along. Thus, regardless of the quality of George`s playing (inconsistent if you ask me) this decision is for the best. Jimmy H. is a good `ol boy who will feel right at home with the boys. I suspect we haven`t seen the last of Sam Holt, though."

    KCdiggler 8/4/2006 9:14:42 AM

"Fox was off the hook!.....anyway, Panic fans have been against George since day 1. Think back how the fans treated Brent Mydland....as a total outsider! I liked the sound of George, and I hope he gets to playing soon enough. As for Herring stepping in, well we all know his abilities, but just give him a chance people! Mikey was great, but we all must ride on someday! Party at my momma`s house!!! peace."

    riley 8/4/2006 7:47:34 AM

    "thanks for everything george. "

    Lee 8/4/2006 5:27:47 AM

"I agree with Josh......I really hate that George is gone and it really bothers me that the "BAND" could not work it out! I am not sure what happened, but I miss George and probably will not go to another show for a while........I thought we are were pert of a FAMILY with the Band............I guess not???? "

    John 8/3/2006 5:34:46 PM

"I could not agree with Josh more. George`s Gibson Les Paul sound( yes he played a Les Paul Standard when he first joined WP until switching to PRS), the Fender amp set-up and the effect pedal set-up( esp. the wah-wah pedal) will definitely will be missed. Sam Holt`s hard edge sound would work great with George`s sound. I don`t what happened between the band and George, but it should be patched up. I saw both Louisville shows, and George`s sound was missed. In finale, George you will be missed, and anyone who wears a Clarenece" Gatemouth" Brown t-shirt is alright in my book! Take care George!"

"show was great crowd very spun equalledgreat fun on sun "

    Josh 8/3/2006 12:58:58 PM

"George`s Last Show!? Someone really did panic fans wrong here and I`m not sure what side its on but whoever is behind the departure of George McConnell (the band or George himself) really needs to stop and realize what thaey have done and from my end of it from many fans point of view has definitly placed a major feeling of betrayal in the hearts and minds of the panic fan community and Im not sure if that always talked about feeling of family can be brought back to what it was. This really is disappointing. Thanks George!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "
