Thoroughly blown away! 8/2/2008 3:22:12 PM

"Here is my review coming from a total Panic newbie. I'd never seen them live and prior to the show I had heard almost none of their music. My buddy is a huge fan and so I went ahead and got us tickets for the show thinking that it was going to be mellow or just like all the other mediocre shows to come through the area. Uh, boy was I wrong! Nothing could have been further from the truth. They were freakin' amazing! I was so ridiculously blown away that I kept shaking my head in disbelief and muttering "no way" and "you're kidding me" the whole show. I must have been in shock, especially for the 2nd set when things seemed to be really kicked up a notch (or maybe it was my buzz) and the entire audience got lost in the music - it was pandemonium. Two weeks later and I'm still in shock."

"Grateful for the gen. admission, front row is great, what a grate"

"Portsmouth Rocked!! One of my best friends and I were front row in front of Dave (who was grinning ear to ear the entire set), and it was great watching the bands facial expessions, it was easy to see what a great time THEY were having. The first set was great but Big Wooly Mammoth was when things really started to fly. The second set crushed me! The Surprise Valley with Ann Marie was killer and the jam in Vacation trading off with Jimmy...WOW!! Riders on the Storm was great but Henry Parsons did it for me!! "

"Yeah, I agree Portsmouth is a great venue and always allows for a good time. I really dug Ann Marie on violin. It made alot of their music more pretty and less edgy in my opinion. The jam during Vacation was beautiful. I'm surprised the tease of Green Onions by Booker T isn't mentioned in the setlist. It was another great night with the boys in Portsmouth."

"I second that. Great venue, nice and hot, and I'm not just talkin' about the weather. At times a ridiculously smokin' second set. Annmarie was an incredible plus. Great energy from JB, of course. This was my son's first WP show, and, even at only 7, he says after Riders on the Storm-- "Dad, when are we leaving for Myrtle Beach???""

"Wow what a great show. Ann Marie was fantastic, and watching her and Jimmy go back and forth was great. Riders was a encore to remember! Nice venue, could either walk up front and see what you wanted or just kick back on the lawn. The choice was yours."
