Baby only cares what the people feel... 6/8/2008 7:06:16 PM

" There has been a lot said about this show...mostly bad, but I had a great time. " You should be glad ", first time played at red rocks, only time played at red rocks, and this version is one of the best they've ever done. "

"All the people that were ragging on this show need to stop buying tix and let us true Panic fans get the tixs! If you really loved the boys then you would realize that no song of theirs is weak or too slow. These shows were amazing and some of the best of 05!fishin experation was amazing! i had many friends that love this band as much as i do and didnt get tixs because of all the people who bought tixs and are saying that this show didnt have enough energy! Three words- Panic Red rox! 06 will be unbelievable and so will Winter Park!"

"The highlight of all 3 shows for me was the acoustic Expiration Day."

"I would like to say that after listening to this download I have to disagree with all the neagative comments on how this was a bad show. The second set till drums is mellow and not rocking - but that does not mean it is bad. If I was at the show - yeah I would want every song to rock! But these are actually some real good songs and sound great. So don`t be turned off to buying this show because you won`t probably hear a stretch of nice soulful songs very often."

"I have definately been around the block with the dead, allmans, Panic, and I love music point blank!!!Panic is the shit, they are great musicians with intense energy. I have never needed a massage so badly after seeing one band. I did spring tour, definately some unforgettable shows, but Red Rocks was amazing, from the first night to the last. I have never felt so much love for a band, I just wanted to give them the biggest hug. I`m not going to rip anyone that didn`t get it, but I definately get it, and always will. Love you boys, Rock on!!!!! See you in Tahoe"

"Sometimes I wish the people who are so concerned at how bad it was seeing Panic all the time would stop going so it would be easier to find a ticket. This show is SOLID! Great Funky Good Stuff all the way through. Friday was a very sound show.Peace"

DBtv 6/29/2005 2:05:54 PM

"I`m not sure what show everyone saw on Friday, but I found the first show at Red Rocks to be powerful and poignant. Drawing from the old school song book in the first set, the band began the summer tour with a nod to the past. After the break, they showed the way they were headed. The acoustic set showed off George`s technical expertise when unplugged and the complexities of "Don`t Wanna Lose You" exemplified the group`s maturing song writing techniques. A great Vic cover in "Expiration Day", followed by one of the best new songs "Fishing" and a short and spacey "Counting Train Cars" led into a nice return of Drums then the pedal was pushed all the way to the floor to the end of the set. One of the greatest encores of all time and you have a wonderful return to Red Rocks setting up one of the most satisfying weekends of music ever performed. I loved the Friday show."

"I think we all agree there is fun to be had with hanging out with friends, and drinking beer, and just being at Red Rocks. I thought the purpose of this board was to review the actual show though. Not all shows are created equal people. There are some that are better than others. I personally like to get a real account of what happened, even if there might be what some people perceive as negativity involved. I personally don`t consider it negative to mention that a portion of the show was slow, if indeed that portion of the show was slow. I don`t think anybody in the bands feelings are getting hurt by saying this. So, those of you who can get past that fact that it was fun just being there but want to know how the music was, it was a little off and not very memorable on this night. No biggie, the world will continue to turn, and monster shows will continue to be played, but if you want to save a couple of bucks and not purchase this show consider it a good idea to save those bucks for a hotter show. IMHO "

"I love panic.. probably seen 40+ shows and will see more but this show was a snoozer. First set was decent but the second was just boooring. I some of the the new songs but not all at once. The only good part about getting a Ball set like this is that I knew those songs would not pop up again the next 2 nights :-) All you guys and gals who say you loved the show and thought it `ripped` are certainly entitled to your opinion.. and so am I. Last and not least.. I know George trying to improve his tone over last tour, looks like he is using 2 different Fender 4x10`s, but the tone just is not meaty enough. Panic needs to get that fat chug back ! Gimmie the CHUG ! "

"I first saw Panic in 1990 at the Grove in Ole Miss. I have not seen them since November 1997 until this past weekend at Red Rock due to growing older and getting married. While the entire show was the not the hottest I`ve ever seen, It was nice to feel their energy again as it flowed in the first set from Little Lily to Travellin` Man. Ride Me High in the middle of that stretch had everyone in my section of Red Rocks lovin` life that night. For any of you Beanland enthusiasts, I think you would agree that JoJo and George have really transformed this band. Mikey would be proud! Can`t wait to get the Saturday shows because George was rippin` it up that night."

Senseless 6/29/2005 6:34:15 AM

"I had followed Phish for a while and some of this nastiness torwards the setlists and the band seems eerily familiar to what was happening in their last years. People need to grow up, listen to the unreal music that WSP is producing and recognize that the band is morphing for its own good. This show had the least energy, but was my favorite for the Ball heavyness of it and just the mix of songs. Great work on the mix, great work Spread and I cant wait for Saturday. "

matt 6/28/2005 9:53:39 PM

"the songs these guys play are about nothing more than playing the music these guys like to play. in my mind it doesn`t really matter what the band plays.....just as long as they play. we know what they are capable of and see the shows for what they are worth....the music, our friends, and the atmosphere. i think for those of you downplaying any of the music at the show were there for the wrong reasons;)"

lovin` it 6/28/2005 6:50:01 PM

"I have been following Panic since 92. This show, along with Saturday night, was one of the best musical experiences of my life. These guys keep changing and evolving and never cease to amaze. You folks with all of the negative energy are missing the whole point of this wonderful band and their togetherness. Michael would certainly be proud that his brothers have carried on."

"WORST SHOW PLAYED SINCE BACK ON TOUR!!! LARGEST LAST TIME PLAYED FISHING 16 SHOWS. OHH MY GOD WHAT A BOMB!!"

KG 6/28/2005 5:48:20 PM

"Somebody should take a piss on you Ballgame, you dickhead. These shows were straight up awesome!"

Drebin 6/28/2005 3:25:01 PM

"Great show. We liked the newest tunes w/ the Ball tunes. Changing it up, Excellent!!!!!!!"

GARY D 6/28/2005 1:59:49 PM

"I would have to agree with most of the other reviews. The whole show I just kept waiting and waiting for them to kick in. Too bad it never happened. When they opened with Trvl. Light, I thought we were in for a great show. It just so happened to be the only highlight of the entire show. For those who said it was their 1st or 2nd show and thought it was awesome, i suggest you see more shows. Overall, one of the worst shows I have seen them put on.... But I still love`em!"

ballgame 6/28/2005 1:58:59 PM

"this was a great show, first time they haven`t pissed on housers grave was the second set, great work boys keep it up"

BDOG 6/28/2005 1:29:10 PM

"Not to offend anyone but I was not impressed with the music or the set selection for this show. I thought the energy level was low and the band was off. However I did have a ton of fun hanging out at Red Rocks with my friends and wouldn`t ask for my money back. I will also say they made up for this show on Saturday and Sunday."

DanMan 6/28/2005 1:16:32 PM

"Now I don`t want to upset anybody that actually liked this show, but this was in my bottom 5 shows of all time. The song selection and execution just weren`t with our boys this night. First set kind of whized by. I didn`t think much about it. Second set was just one snoozer after another. PJR and DWLY were well played but the slow songs that bogged down this set were just too much. They zapped the energy right out of Red Rocks. Now I like Fishing, but not when it`s bookend with Expiration Day and a Counting Train Cars. If I never hear these songs again I`d be happy, but this night I got them in the same set. Then came drums. I figured this would give them a chance to regroup and really bring it home. Well Monstosity for 14min was not the answer. Run for your life was kind of cool, but alas this set was already done for me. The encore looks good on paper, but once again they were just going through the motions. Flame me if you wish, but I just call `em as I see `em. I was even discussing this show with random people on Saturday and everyone had pretty much similar thoughts about the show. "

Ryan 6/28/2005 1:05:19 PM

"This was my first show and i was amazed how awsome they played! I`d say the chilly water was the greatest ive ever heard and when they came on second set and played papa johnny road it made my experiance complete. The energy was amazing all the way to the end of the show and im comin back for more!"

Chris 6/28/2005 9:24:12 AM

"This show was one of the best i`ve seen in my life, and although this was only #2 of panic for me, i was blown away. Mc`connell has improved so much since i saw them at red rocks in `02, not at all to say he sucked then, but he has really familiarized himself with the rest of the band, and they have done the same with him. Gonna lose you was incredible, the chemistry of the band and red rocks put out an amazing energy that unfortunately can only be experienced live. Download this show, and the following two nights!"
