"It was great to see these guys after waaaaayyy too long; since Santa Cruz in `97! I`ll be lookin` out for more shows to hit up. Keep on livin` and rockin`!!!"

dave scott 7/15/2006 8:48:03 PM

"this show was infriggincreddible. i came out to cali all the way from georgia to see them. and when they played otis redding`s dock of the bay. i got fuggin chills man. without a doubt the best concert i have ever been to and will definetly see you guys at bonnaroo. word to the froggies "

brock starr 7/15/2006 2:51:41 PM

"Both nights were great, but this seems to be the better night as a whole. It was on from beginning to end. It was a nice way to spend my honeymoon having not been to the Greek since 2001."

David 7/14/2006 1:37:46 PM

"Great show. But where is the 7/11 Oregon show already???"

PATFIELD 7/14/2006 6:16:56 AM

"Pedal steel is my favorite instrument in the world. While I realize that not every Panic song would benefit from it, it makes some songs sound way better sonically and texturally(is that a word?). I guess that`s why he only plays it sometimes. Keane has done WONDERS for songs like Surprise Valley, Pilgrims, Driving Song, etc. Just my dumbass opinion, of course..."

August Dupree 7/13/2006 10:25:46 PM

"Hey now! Let`s not get carried away. This IS a band from Athens, so pedal steel is completely legit. Infact, it`s necessary.
You can take the band out of the South. But you cannot take the South out of the band!

Make that four guitars boys."

John 7/13/2006 10:29:13 AM

"Saw both shows at The Greek Theatre and could not agree more with August Dupree. Sam Holt second set Machine> Chilly Water was HOT! This guy can play, he "works" better with George, and he blows away John Keane. If the boy`s want to add a third guitarist to the line-up, then use Sam. This is a Rock and Roll band, so dump the steel pedal!"

August Dupree 7/12/2006 10:57:54 PM

"*I meant Sam Holt came out to start the second set :) Forget about the fact that Schools` blog is probably the best thing that has ever happened to any tour, anywhere. Reading Dave`s account of the time spent at the Greek and in the Bay makes it imposibly real. Imagine if Lesh had the opportunity to write about some of the legendary shows and times had by the band and then make it available to the masses within days of the show. And as a writer Schools is no slouch either! What can`t he do? DOWNLOAD this show NOW and then go get the show from the 7th. Print out Schools` blog and turn it into CD covers. It doesn`t get any better than that my friends."

August Dupree 7/12/2006 10:47:05 PM

"Hey guys, guess what? Sam F`n Holt came on to start out the first set! There is no doubt what so ever that Panic needs to get him up on stage more because he freekin` RIPS. That Mesa Boogie tone is so sweet and his playing is loose and weird. It makes you just want freak your face off. The Machine>Chilly>Visiting>Chilly thing is so mint. Don`t look now but he took the stage in Eugene and Astronomy Domine came out. Good God. He must have know about SYD. R.I.P. SYD :( As phar as the war between Phish and WSP goes, it`s actually quite easy. A count of Myspace friends should settle it. WSP = 20501 Phish = 20130 Widespread wins again! Hahahahahahahaha!"

PEACE 7/12/2006 5:28:26 PM

"LISTEN TO WHATEVER MAKES YOU HAPPY AND ENJOY IT!!!"

SaulGood 7/12/2006 2:46:22 PM

"...no, we shouldn`t. We should just continue to sit back and enjoy watching The Boys get better and better, and let Trey plummet further and further while he continues to empty out Phil`s 8-12k person venues with his 5 new songs about coffee. These shows were stellar. Peace."

PATFIELD 7/12/2006 7:21:59 AM

"Do Panic fans go to Phish sites and make stupid, inane comments? Maybe we should..."

Hatfield the Alias 7/11/2006 9:50:35 PM

"Lets end this lame discussion here! The Music is hittin Thank God, I saw hundreds of Dead shows Phish shows and only about 50 Panic shows but after this run i am going to see a hundred more Panic shows! I am so pumped that they took me to the sicness its like they know whats really goin down. When a band can emotionaly connect to someone its makes the world a better place. The canvas that panic is painting is vivid bright and very full of insight so take a minute and jump on school base lets sunny give you some sunshine and let Jb tell you about life it might concect or it might not. The GRATEFUL Dead where about moments in the 90`s Phish filled the void 97-99 and not its panic turn to fly. Thank God tickets arent a problem and I can walk down first step at show time at the Greek! Whats debate Life Is Grand"

biootch 7/11/2006 9:49:09 PM

"yo at least panics guitarist aint no junkie"

wp2389 7/11/2006 8:10:18 PM

"get over it, phish is done. panic hasnt sold out and never will like phish did. stop living in the past man and listen to the southern rock of panic."

The Man 7/11/2006 5:04:08 PM

"Phish rules. Makes Panic look like a minor league band."

Crakker-T 7/11/2006 11:52:31 AM

"I`ve been a listener of WP for some time now but I never had a chance to see them live....the WP at the Greek was my first show (07/08/06). It was hands down the best show I`ve seen in 10 years of any band. Thanks to the band and the WP fans that made it a show that I`ll never forget. See you on tour again soon."

The Greek!!!! 7/11/2006 9:42:27 AM

"In my opionion, THIS was the night. It was monumental. Made me realize how bad this band needs 3 guitars on stage. Sam needs to come on full time! Andrew"

hammertime 7/11/2006 7:39:40 AM

"The Greek is the most magical place to see a show. All of us old deadheads in the crowd Saturday night welcomed the Dark Star tease but would prefer the entire song to be played.George told me after the show one day soon the whole song will be played. Sitting on the Dock of the Bay was the perfect end to a perfect week in the Bay Area. Keep up the good work and jam on. "

Yosh 7/11/2006 6:47:53 AM

"These shows something special for sure...Webmasters should note (and downloaders) that First set on this show lists "time zones" as "good people." Get your new tunes in order, eh."

PATFIELD 7/11/2006 6:18:59 AM

"Boy Howdy, the second sets from both nights at the Geek are tighter than nun coochie!"

~August "Top Rabid Dog" Dupree 7/11/2006 12:32:36 AM

"Buy `em all cheapskate. You know you want it. YOU KNOW THIS BAND DESERVES IT. This show is however, I think the best so far. Pick a Panic, any Panic. You can`t go wrong. Pay your money and take your chances."

Garret 7/10/2006 9:07:53 PM

"The Darkstar tease @ roughly 10:14 of Surprise Valley is absoloutley BEAUTIFUL. The spirit was there on Saturday, I was again sober as can be, way high off the wonderful music. Man oh man, I am listening to the audience recording that has been posted on the net, and damn does it sound wonderful. I am going to have to make a decision as to whether or not purchase SBD`s for the four shows I saw. 7/3, 7/4, 7/7, 7/8 They are all quite worth it, I just wish I could sample the boards before I make my decision. I would love to know what I am paying for before I venture off and do it. I am very happy with the extremely solid audience recordings, the ambience and feeling from the captures is extrememly accurate. Thank you WSP, I love you guys :) -Garret"
