" I’m a huge Panic fan, with the exception of maybe The Beatles no other band I've ever heard can put me in a good mood faster than Panic. And it’s just my opinion but I really think Jimmy should be mentioned in the same breath as SRV, Hendrix, etc... That guy is flat out fucking amazing period. And only time will tell but I predict that in time these new songs will be loved as much as Tall Boy or Coconuts, they're just unfamiliar... I will say however the band seems to evolved from a dance happy good time jam band to a more mainstream rock infused classic/southern rock band. And that very well may be the reason for the mixed reviews of their new album. This is just an observation and I could be way off but I didn’t hear anything like Arleen or Love Tractor on their new release and honestly I wouldn’t mind some head bobbin old school influences in future releases"

"When did this bands fans become such selfish pricks? There must be alot of Panicstream children posting here. You come to love a band for doing things their own way their whole career and then cry in your mushroom tea because they played the songs that they just put their heart and soul into creating.Asses."

"This is a great sounding show with a surprising setlist. The boys are really starting to get that "tight but loose" thing going. I can't wait to hear how the new songs get fleshed out from here on out. This should be a good year! "

"Yet again my most respected MoFo D's. For a first run sounds excellent. JB's lyrics...well to all you nay sayers..."listen, if it feels good then"...shutty. Sorry folks you can't beat it with a stick and this is the first cut live, and FINE ONE IT BE. TAA DAA"

"So, wether or not the song choices for this evening were an April Fools prank or not, it was obviously very deliberate. I would have to say that Free Somehow totally surprised me when I first listened to it. As a Panic fan of nearly 20 years and as a musician who has been covering Panic for nearly that long, this album is technically some of the most challenging music they've produced. I'm surprised at some of the reactions of some so-called fans about this set list. I think Widespread has certainly proven themselves enough to the world. Being in the top 50 of all touring acts for 8 years straight(of their touring) is quite a feat, especially considering what they've been through in that time. I think that they've considered the fan base in most of their actions and decisions over the years. And regardless of that, they can do whatever the fuck they want. So, if in all selfishness, they decide for joke's sake or music's sake to play really, what would be the most UNpredictable set list of all, so be it. Rock on Boys! "

"Yes, sweet corn princess, the band is smiling at you this time, through the words on this glass/screen. It wasn't just another day. This is a very good show. I imagined that "Her Dance" would be a challenge to play live. I recommend that Jojo comes in where the violins are in this pure Panic-style changelings goes Bahamas. "Her Dance" isn't a song as far as I know. It's a jazz/classical composition, and the only thing I can think of is the piano, or some sound produced therein. Jimmy is occupied in the lower registers at those points, and Dave is holding the odd time signature down. They played a solid, careful foundation here though, and Jojo even sounded as if he wanted to find a bigger part later in the piece. Before anyone rushes to judge this or any other show, I recommend listening to the stream beforehand. The older songs were great picks and, for the most part, nicely interwoven. Let's not forget, they get better and more interwoven and they go. It sounds as though the audience around the tapers weren't too disappointed at all. "

"Alternative Music Fan 33 - what are you talking about? Your post does not make sense. Please clarify! To come out and play the whole new cd in the first show of the tour - is rough! Come on boys, ease into it. This is by far my least favorite cd & to play them all in one show is a disappointment, Is this a April Fool's Day joke? I would ask for my money back."

    Dylan 4/3/2008 7:14:32 PM

"The new songs sound great honestly. I love that they came out firing on all cylinders with the new songs. This tour will be a great one for sure."

"Dear Spliff and DenverWSP, You both appear to take conventional recording and touring acts far too seriously. Now who was fooled besides the two of you "on the record?" A good place to begin your long tally of names might be the Pollstar Top 50. "

    Spliff 4/3/2008 5:29:10 PM

"I thought Panic was supposed to ease new songs in and insert them tastefully. What we got was an entire album forced into the setlist, and it wasn't good. Second Night, much better."

    DenverWSP 4/3/2008 2:08:58 PM

    "No Thanks!"
