Show Notes
KSC’s third annual Festivus show rages on for the third year in a row. What a stupidly redundant sentence to begin this write up. I’m adding this narrator’s sloppy writing to my list of grievances for next year. He went to college and should know better. But getting back on track, the band continues on the Festivus tradition for the third year in a row. Damn, there he goes again…. Festivus. What makes this night so special? After another long year of grinding on the road as a mid-tier jam band with lots of potential for the big time, the time comes for band and audience alike to share all the ways they have been wronged. Leading up to the show, fans submitted their grievances via google form accessible through the band’s instagram page. On day of show, Ben printed out and scissored the grievances and entered them into a modestly sized receptacle for Louis to draw out at random during the show. This tradition has gone on as such for the past three years. Add to the mix, feats of strength in which the band is tasked with various strength exercises and challenges. What else. This year, the third annual year, the event featured a raffle with many items of band memorabilia and Ben’s air fryer which may or may not work. Fans could buy raffle tickets or bring in canned goods which Ryan oh so generously delivered to the Blue Ridge Area Food bank. Cash proceeds went to the Human Fund. Another fun aspect of the event was the preshow screening of the eponymous Seinfeld episode. Fans gathered in the side room of Fry Spring Beach Club to commiserate with George and prepare themselves for the wild night ahead. And a wild night it was. Tune in to hear the grievances. You won’t be disappointed. Or maybe you will? Save that thought for the 4th annual.
