Good Morning Jam Cruisers it’s game day. And KSC came to play. Dressed in their matching Lenny the Lemon hockey jerseys, KSC opened up the pool deck stage on Super Bowl Sunday.
Rocking Space For Days opener that hits all the spots. Right into Wheel. Heavily psyched 393 w/ Ryan drum solo. Long time Doom Flamingo touring compatriot Kanika Moore joins the band on Petrified. And she crushes it. Unrehearsed too! wow.
Brian polls audience if they have crabs…. his body is an ecosystem, not a wonderland. You guessed it uh, Crab Surprise. Louis loses his train of thought and mixes up some lyrics, no big deal. He got called out later on the cruise by some fans who booked their whole cruise just to hear that song. Anyways, good version, very long pause. Crab Surprise into Cobbler happened at Festivus 2023 too. Or maybe it was the other way around. Board Shorts up next. You got it buddy. Brian sings “Sports.” He might not remember singing it though because his Scopolamine patches made him loopy. Next time you bump into him you can tell him about it. Cool Cheddar start. Gets evil later on and speeds up. Cool drum break. Funky Cat up next. Classic sax / guitar battle. Mandatory crowd participation. Louis never compliments the crowd on their singing but he did this time. Marijuana Timewarp was actually quite scary to a lot of people on the boat. Maybe not the best choice. Ben forgets the intro notes, probably also due to the scopolamine patch. Hot Tub for all the people watching the band from the Hot Tubs. Cars with the “‘Boat’ to Nowhere” Talking Heads troll. Fun one. Thanks to Jake for suggesting it.
Great set, we’ll see what’s in store for their second jam cruise set at the black and white lounge. To be continued.
