This was first time that Metallica performed on its "all new, out of control, massive stage".
 
This was the first of eight shows in Mexico City.
 
This was the first time in three years that Metallica performed in Mexico City.  The band last played here on June 7, 2009 at Foro Sol.
 
This was the 10th time that Metallica performed in Mexico city.  They first played here on February 25, 1993.
 
This was the first time that "Creeping Death" opened a show in 2012.
 
This was the first time that an electric chair came down from the ceiling during "Ride the Lightning".  The buzzing you hear during the guitar solo is the electricity from four tesla coils hitting the chair.
 
This was the first time that Cyanide was performed in 2012.
 
This was the first time 23 years that Doris appeared on stage.
 
This was the first time since 1987 that the band performed in front of a cemetary of crosses.
 
This was the first time since 1997 that the stage collapsed knocking a spotlight guy to the stage and engulfing another in flames.
 
This was the first time that a cover song ("Die, Die My Darling") was performed in 2012.
