"This is the set that sold me on the biscuits. I’d seen them twice before solo and the night before at bisco. I was impressed, but still hadn’t caught biscuit fever quite yet . After seeing gwn and pretty lights I was ready for something more chill, which this set delivered on handily with the dub dribble. But starting with helicopters, I heard and felt a type of music that I really had never experienced before, and it was reflected by the crowd which was so friendly and chill especially considering how few brain cells they had left by this point in the festival. The music was so busy yet so patient, so electronic yet organic, so driving while standing perfectly still. EDM to the max but fronted by a classic rock guitarist who was hellbent on combining the cool complexity of Hendrix with the explosive bravado of Jimmy Page. Don’t even get me started on the I feel love, the definitive version in my eyes, digital shredding and intimidatingly massive, like a giant droning obelisk basking above a captive village. I was never going back to reality after I had the borne witness to the closing helicopters, that was it for me. And for those of you asking “was it chill like you hoped?” No not at all, my mind was picked apart and rearranged thousands of times over during the 75 minutes of this set, and I still struggle to put the pieces back together all these years later. As the set concluded, the biscuits and the crowd were left overwhelmed by emotion, as the biscuits capped off what was already a top notch festival by my estimation. I left the theater at montage after this set aimless, barely able to put two words together but in awe of the musical prowess and ability of this band as well as well as the stunning display of their legacy which only continues to grow. I went on to attend 2 additional camp biscos and the final set of the weekend is always the most special to me. It’s like what do you listen to once you’ve already listened to all the other music? And the biscuits answer the question every time, with an unmatched battle between heaven and hell that occurs between 4 musicians who asked the question — can you play soul shattering edm without a deck while simultaneously channeling the heart of rock, folk, bluegrass, jazz, funk, and Americana? (And whatever else is the genre of the evening). The answer as far as my ears hear is a resounding “yes, and what else can we fit in there?” Bravo, can’t wait to see them again next week at the brewery in CT for my 30th show."

"Set one: Good solid set but kinda by the books. Good playing, good songs, but nothing extremely exciting. Interesting they are bringing "Loose Change" back around after dying a quick death back in 2009, but it's a good track. Set two: This might be my favorite set of the six. Tom Hamilton comes out for one of the best versions of "The Champions" and stays for the rest of the show including a 20 minute "Exodus" and the classic "Above the Waves". Set three: They saved the best for last starting out with a "Dub Dribble" on this continuously played set. Even dropping Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" in-between "Helicopters" and "Tricycle". As good of Bisco set as you could hope for to wrap up Camp Bisco 2017."
