Show Notes
- When the topic of "Best of 2009" comes up in discussion, there's a decent chance someone will mention this show and it's pretty easy to see why. The whole show is outstanding and such a great representation of how good they were playing that year. After a solid Hope-ner to get things going, Crystal Ball begins a great segment that features a huge inverted Overture inside of a Voices Insane sandwich. Set 2 opens with a stand alone Rivers, before a ridiculous Ladies > Orch Theme > Waves > Ladies that is just straight fire. Even the famous Gates of Hell patch on Aron's Korg MS2000 makes an appearance during the Ladies jam. Very Moon > Spacebird ends what is easily one of the better shows the band played during that Spring tour.

"I'm no Disco Biscuits expert but so far these 2009 live sets I've heard are blowing me away. Set one is pure fire all the way through with the Biscuits firing on all fours. Played it five times in a row over the course of three days! The second set is no slouch either with all of disc two being one continuous hour long jam through classic like "Rivers" and "Orch Theme". Disc three is yet another almost hour long set (with two encores) including the great "Once The Fiddler Paid". The live show is this bands art and the folks of Kentucky got the royal treatment on 4/24/09. "
