The Disco Biscuits

"Holy shit what a tour opener!! Great Confrontation to get things started, which was an obvious nod to the extremely overzealous venue security watching over the crowd in the sand (think tactical gear and bulletproof vests). Rainbow Song was also an obvious nod, as I'm pretty sure the band could see a rainbow over the bar and then the crowd was treated to a double rainbow over the stage at setbreak. The second set is where things really took off, though. I read that a certain PT'er had requested the Have a Cigar with Kanika Moore on vocals as she's a Charleston resident, but I was still shocked (SHOCKED! Rollin through outer space with my brotha) at how powerful the combo was. Uber Glue enters the full dark untz territory, and from there it was just ON until the end of the show. The Falling jam > Tempest > RLH is EXACTLY why I go see this band more than any other. And the classic RLH/ATW pairing to close it out before the lightning could no longer be held at bay was a perfect way to close it out. Which, the band, and specifically Barber, were absolutely controlling the clouds encroaching as we all partied along and the clouds became more and more ominous. Watching completely sky-filling lightning patterns while continuing the party in the hotel room and on the beach was a night I'll never forget. Thanks Biscuits for my first (and hopefully not last!) JAMMAH experience!!!"

"First set gave us some great stuff in terms of song choice. But then they busted out that Have a Cigar to start set 2, and the quasi rare songs of the first set were blown away. Then they threw in that RLH?!! Getting both of those was a treat given that they seemed to drop playing Cigar when they started playing RLH regularly. The boom in the room was real for set 2 though for sure"
