* This was the sixth time that Metallica played in the Ottawa.

* Metallica last performed in Ottawa on October 7, 2004 during the Madly in Anger With the World Tour. You can download a copy of that show here.

* Metallica first performed in Ottawa on January 18, 1985 during the Ride the Lightning Tour.

* In addition to the Ride the Lightning and Madly in Anger... Tours, Metallica also performed in Ottawa on the Damaged Justice Tour (April 6, 1989), the Wherever We May Roam Tour (November 18, 1991), and the Poor Touring Me Tour (March 30, 1997).

* This was the fourth time that Creeping Death was played since this leg of the tour began in Nashville on September 14, 2009. It was last performed on October 17, 2009 in Charlottesville, VA.

* Creeping Death was the only song of the 18-song set that has been performed at all six shows in Ottawa.

* This was the third time that Fuel has been played since this leg of the tour began in Nashville on September 14, 2009. It was last performed on October 17, 2009 in Charlottesville, VA.

* For the first time in Metallica history, James alternated between an acoustic guitar and an electric guitar during Fade to Black. This was briefly attempted in 1986 while John Marshall was filling in for James during the Master of Puppets tour, but this is the first time that James has ever done this.

* This was the fourth time that Fade to Black was played on this leg of the tour. It was last played on October 26, 2009 in Toronto.

* This was the first time that Battery was played two nights in a row on this leg of the tour.

* This was the first time in over 12 years that Battery, Last Caress, and Fade to Black were played in Ottawa.

* This was the first time that Motorbreath was played in Ottawa.

* Metallica performed 18 songs tonight from 8 different albums: Kill ‘Em All (2 songs), Ride the Lightning (2 songs), Master of Puppets (2 songs), ...And Justice for All (1 song), The Black Album (3 songs), ReLoad (1 song), Garage, Inc. (1 song), and Death Magnetic (6 songs)
