    A New Frontier for SKB(post Moose) 1/26/2008 8:26:06 PM

"This show, much like 9/22 brought about the changed line-up, which started 9/9 with Robert Walter, Reed Mathis & Rodney Holmes beginning to gel at these two shows still in California. I saw Moose at the Mangy Moose less than a week before his final show in Canada(thanks Ron Keyser)I did later more Midwestern & East Coast shows with this lineup, It was official after the 10/1/2005 Dallas show that this lineup was for real. Charlie Miller released a free MaTriX of that show, http://www.archive.org/details/skb2005-10-01matrix as well as the soldout Philly show(10/22),http://www.archive.org/details/skb2005-10-22_16bit that was still to come as was this band's greatness between 10/1 & 10/31 at Mexicali Blues in Teaneck,NJ. Check out the whole tour at http://app1.dsbd.net/dsb/artist_page.jsp?give-me=SK-01 Digitalsoundboard DOT net These shows were warmups of what was to come, these 9/22 & this 9/24 gigs that both started with H&L. For the best High & Lonesome of the tour, grab 10/20 from Charlotteville,VA, which was the 2nd of 3 Virginia shows, and from 10/20 to 10/31, all those shows just were the cream of the tour. I'll tell ya from as I saw it. In comparison of these 2 California shows here, to let's say the 2nd & 3rd Virginia shows, right b/4 Philly, is like comparing a seedling to a plant whose flowers are swelling and ready to be harvested. If you want a seedling, grab these with this lineup, if you want the budding plant, check out the SKB 10.20.2005 & 10.21.2005 shows from Charlotteville,VA & Falls Church,VA. You can grab those on http://www.dsbd.net/ Four Stars outta Five for the performance, 5 outta 5 for that great CM Matrix Sound=)"
