"Also check out: 4-20-02,4-21-02 Atlanta/ 4-23-02 Pompano Beach Florida/ 6-21-02 Bonnaroo(w/Keller)/ Horning's Hideout '03/ New Year's '03/ 4-23-04 Tokyo/ Horning's Hideout '04 (!)/ 7-20-04, 7-21-04 San Francisco/ 10-29-04, 10-30-04 Chicago/ 10-21-05 Boulder/ New Year's '05/ 06-29-06 Flagstaff(!)/ 08-04-06,08-05-06,08-06-06 Eugene/ 09-29-06, 09-30-06 Chicago/ and pretty much the entire 2007 run. 03-23-07 Denver (!)/ 03-27-07 Vail/ 07-13-07 New York (!)/ 07-21-07,07-22-07 Berkeley/ 08-03-07 Salem (!) and the entire Red Rocks run is pretty dope. (!)= GET THIS!!! These are just a few of my favorites that I listen to regularly. Also you can get some of their earlier stuff 1996-2001; some great soundboards too at: http://www.archive.org/details/etree Some would argue that this is some of their better stuff just like people say about Phish. But to me its ALL good! Hope it helps a bit, and I hope you get to see them this year. I know I will. PRAISE CHEESUS!!"

"Nick: There's tons of shows out there and its really hard to point out one. But one I constantly listen to even when I get newer shows is from Atlanta 10-21-05. No joke, probably one of the tightest shows of all time! (The folowing show 10-22-05 is awesome too) There's definitely a few out there that you could go without hearing, as is true for any band. But ATLANTA 10-21-05 is by far my favorite and highly recomended!"

"Hi, im just getting into SCI and im looking for the best shows to get started with. I've been a huge phish phan for a long time and started to get a little obsessed so im trying to broaden my musical interests. Any recommendations? Thanks!"

"the only reason this show melted peoples faces was because of the theatrics, I mean, everytime I see the cheese I enjoy it, but definitley not their best music wise, and yes I'm just as amazed as the next guy by raining glow sticks, floating lanterns, and giant tree sized balls. this is my personal favorite cheese show, I guess because I was there http://www.archive.org/details/sci2004-06-19.flac16 "

"Friday AND Saturday from the Red Rocks farewell blow this out of the water! I can't believe that people would even suggest that this is the best show ever! newbies."

"String Cheese live is what makes life worth living. The memories from this show will resonate with my soul forever. Whenever i feel the weight of the world I pop in some Cheese focus on the music, let the goosebumps rise and remember there is still good in this world."

"Praise Cheesus! The "Heads Up Jam>Rollover Reprise" sums up the entire weekend for me. Unreal 2nd set. too! But where was my "San Jose"? :) Keep doing what you're doing fellas. See you in the near future? "

"This might have been the best Cheese show ever. My little brother, bless his heart, got me into SCI. Today I wish nothing more than to have been able to be at this show with him. About that I'll only say this: don't get a speeding ticket in S. Florida. It could mean your worse than your Rothbury ticket. Anyway, during the first set my brother was standing about 20-30 feet out from center stage, right behind this dude waving a Colorado flag and wearing a big, orange, fuzzy top hat. I can't believe how great Cheese can play. It's really just unreal. And when Keller got on with them it was pure magic. I mean, this concert has got to be up there with Phish's New Year's Eve '95 at Madison Square Garden as one of the best single shows ever. I mean, I am seriously having trouble coming up with highlights because there were so many. I think "Joyful Sound" might have been my favorite part, listen to that and listen to it from Red Rocks 8/10/07. Crazy how they did it this time around. Other great parts were the end of "Rain" and the insane "Desert Dawn" jam. Pretty much the whole second set plus the encores was absolutely killer. After I gave this a couple listens, I did some sniffing around. On isohunt I found a torrent for a Quicktime video that was a complete rip of the concert's live broadcast on iClips. Since I didn't get to see that, I immediately downloaded the torrent. The next day, I had on my computer 4-plus hours of the concert on video. Yipee. And looking closely behind a certain guy with a Colorado flag and an orange hat as the camera swept over the crowd, I could easily make out my brother's blonde mop and Grateful Dead shirt. So to that guy with the hat and the flag, I want to say thanks. It was almost like I was there with my brother. Can't wait for next year. Hopefully SCI will be back for that one."

"These Rothbury 09 sets were magical. After the "hOt AiR ConTraptiOns" floated deep into Michigan's darkened sky, it got gangsta cheesey around those parts;) Everything was at one that night... the band new it, the crowd loved it, and I dont know about yall, but I could taste the beauty in the second set!!! LOveD IT!!!! Top 3 Best at Rothbury 09!!!!! "

Andre Dawson 7/13/2009 2:34:08 PM

"Cheese's last show at Red Rocks in 07 was my 25th show so i've seen and heard a fair amount of their music...I downloaded this show Saturday morning as I had a full day of yardwork to do and I was blown away and I really don't say that lightly...I wasn't expecting much (especially after seeing a comeback Phish show) and it was as if they almost never split up...Highlights abound for me were TMBTP>Rollover, and basically the whole second set with the Desert Dawn standing out...Just get it and listen...Cheese, do us all a favor and come back and play more gigs even if it's a few shows a year...Long live the Cheese"

Benjisbadbrain 7/12/2009 6:16:19 PM

"I wasn't even a Cheese fan before July 3rd 2009. Rothbury was my first Cheese show. They brought the house down and stole the festival. That is saying a lot considering some of my favorite live acts ever were in attendance. It was one of the best live experiences I've ever had. The collective vibe, eye candy, and incredible jams had me completely spellbound. The Rollover reprise was the perfect soundtrack for 15ft beachballs rolling around the crowd. By that point there wasn't a still bone in the audience. I had to have a copy of this show. I just wish there was a DVD. "

Mateo 7/9/2009 3:43:33 PM

"After seeing this and the Ogden incidents I am convinced they are coming back next year. How could they not? There is often a lot of disagreement on shows on this site but everyone seems to be on the same page here. They rocked it hard, as if they were never apart. There is no way they can pass on majic like that!! I believe it's Keith who confirms his intentions during Black Clouds at the 11:08 mark when he says, "LET'S STAY TOGETHER!" I especially love that because I yelled the same thing out loud at Red Rocks in '07 and at Rothbury just as Keith was screaming the same. Let's all follow Keith's lead and yell 'STAY TOGETHER' after 'Together or Go Our Separate Ways' whenever we hear Black Clouds!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SCI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

cheezwizz 7/8/2009 9:50:25 PM

"is that the moon or a balloon? how did they write rothbury on it?"

cheesybanana 7/8/2009 9:47:19 PM

"whoa baby what a show! i have been waiting for this since they last played on the rocks and knew that i had to be there to see them on fri. night. The boys were on fire that night along with many other things that go along with a cheesy atmosphere. doesnt get much better than that what an amazing night. cant wait for the next time we can GET CHEESSSYY again!! thanks "

cletus 7/8/2009 11:28:35 AM

"This show was Absolutely Outstanding! My only complaint is that the cost of the ticket didn't include the adult sized diaper that would have been useful as I soiled myself over and over. Keep 'em coming SCI! Great crowd, great music, great weather, and a great festival. I can only hope we get to experience more Cheese of this caliber, and if you listen close during Black Clouds after the lyrics "stay together or go our seperate ways", someone off mike (Billy or Travis I think?) adds "stay together!" Better invest in Depends..."

"How? How does SCI continue to do it? How do they continue creating jams for songs I've seen a bunch of times and listened to a gazillion times (there are a lot of 0s in a gazillion), yet still make the tunes so explosive and captivating? My hats off to them for continuing to innovate, to keep me and so many fans waiting on edge, waiting for the next note, the next song, and the next incident! While I wasn’t at the show (thanks for the stream, cheese! I was lucky enough to be at the Ogden), Rothbury was truly a special incident. It was a chance for so many in our community to reconnect. I actually thought the show started out a little slow, but began picking up steam during “Love is like a train”, began snowballing during “Rain” and was an avalanche of blissful sound explosion by “Joyful Sound.” The second set was a full on, rockin’ dance party, combined with a megadose of mind control. I’d swear the mother ship landed during Desert Dawn! For those who didn’t have a good time, it’s pretty simple, honestly. Please do yourselves a favor and stop attending shows; that’ll leave more room for the rest of us to shake our booties! For the rest of you all who love this band, I look forward to seeing you on the road. I love the SCI family I’ve met over the years on the road. You know how to have fun and you’re generous to those who are less fortunate. Think of all the SCI family has done to help feed hungry families through Conscious Alliance. We’ve made a huge difference to those fortunate. Peace."

"This show was absolutely awesome. It was six guy's with complete mastery of there instruments and in touch with each other, playing there asses off. For those who couldn't be there, the side performers were all great, and the stage was very intense. It is a must have for any cheese fan, but arn't they all. One of my favorite shows ever!!. And I was worried. Worried that the best live band ever, wouldn't throw down. I laugh at myself now. I wished they'd play all night, then sat and sun. One night was not nearly enough for this guy. It was great to see them together and more importantly to hear them together. Seeing them seperate is fun but I hear whats not being played. It takes all of them to make this. Watching this band grow through the years has been one of the greatest joy of my life. I can't thank the boys enough for doing what they do. The countless incidents and everyone special for one reason or all. Can't wait till the next announcement, hopefully any day now right??? "

"I can honestly not get over how incredible this show was. Out of all the sets i bare witness too at Rothbury this was in a league of its own. Truly one of the best parties/ nights of my life. I very highly reccomend the purchase of this show"

rckhound 7/7/2009 7:56:26 AM

"This show was by far the highlight of the Rothbury Festival, and considering all the great acts throughout the weekend, that says a lot. Cheese blew us all away with their explosive performance. This was without a doubt the best festival performance i have ever attended. The energy between the crowd and the band just kept building together throughout the evening as the giant inflatable balls filled the arena with candles floating towards the sky in the background. The fire dancers, aerial acrobats, and hula hoopers fed the energy even more. So sorry to all those who were not able to make it. download and listen, and hopefully they will put this one out on DVD!"

JBWMU 7/7/2009 7:20:10 AM

"Greatest party ever. Smokin' set and special surprises that made the night the most memorable in 7 years of Bonnaroo/Rothbury. Thanks to the band for one of (maybe THE) best nights of my life. Release a DVD!"

salter 7/6/2009 9:01:15 PM

"One word.....Oh my God!! I have been listening to cheese for a couple of years but this was our first show. I am listining to the show right now and still on the Cheese high. Rothbury was the best time of my life; and I have had some great experiences."

Spencer 7/6/2009 6:16:12 PM

"amazing show...great jams and communication between the band. crowd was dancing as far as I could see and you gotta love the theatrics of the show...the balls..dancers..etc...rothbury next year please? thank you SCI!"

jjb 7/6/2009 2:50:25 PM

"great show, definitely worth downloading. sci has evolved a lot since 2000 Santa Cruz. to say they haven't confirms that you don't really know what your talking about; therefore, i don't really care what your opinion is on this show."

straightphunk 7/6/2009 2:10:44 PM

"This show is def worth the money. They played with so much energy it was ridiculous. "

Jay 7/6/2009 11:51:01 AM

"I cannot believe Santa Cruz and and others would bother to come on here to tell people this show "isn't worth the money" - not only was String Cheese Incident the only headlining act to allow their show to be streamed online FREE - (the dead didn't)... but they played for 4 hours and this is one of the longest sets of ANY of their sets on this site...and its still the same price as always. In short, far from being wrong, these people are retarded...it is an amazing show, absolutely fantastic, worth it for three times the price if only because its their only show since 2007, and I can't imagine someone legitimately thinking otherwise."

Fedor 7/6/2009 6:30:44 AM

"BEST SHOW OF THE FESTIVAL! Cheese has not missed a beat in their two year hiatus. Absolutely stellar show, kept it upbeat the whole time for intense booty shakin!"

adamist 7/5/2009 2:00:39 PM

"Wow, I'm really sad I didn't make it to Michigan for this... They sound like they're playing alot tighter than they did back in '07 right before their hiatus. Hopefully this means they will be touring again in the near future!!!"

Treez 7/5/2009 1:16:02 PM

"After a nearly 2 year hiatus , the band is in very good form, the setlist is generous, the musicianship excellent, and the positive energy abounds on and off stage. Perhaps we have all moved on, and the band will never again play 100 shows a year, but it sure would be nice to get together every once in a while to listen and dance to some of the sweetest sounds you'll ever hear. Thanks Billy, Mike, Travis, Keith, Kyle, Jason, and all the cheezy family for another uplifting experience."
