"Greatest night of my life. My first Springsteen show and, unfortunately, maybe even my only. But you know what? What a hell of a goddamn show to be (possibly) my one and only. Bruce and the band on top form from start to finish. "

Chris Allen 5/29/2024 7:52:32 PM

"I have been watching Bruce and the gang live, sometimes in person, more often wherever available and can confirm this is the single greatest concert I have ever seen, by the true Boss of live performers. The band tonight was simply fire also, as tight as it's possible to be, led by Nils, SVZ, and the new "biggest man you've ever seen, Mr. Jake Clemons, whose uncle would surely be so proud. Mighty Max continues to bring the power night, after night after night, the Professor does what only he can do (ah man, Bruuuuuuce, why no Racing, Jungleland or Lost in the Flood for him to shine yet brighter), Gary Tallent shines brightly yet unobtrusively and completes the E Street Band quietly, unobtrusively but so importantly. And by the way, surely Sister Suzie must soon be named as a full band member as she fiddles away!!. The new (over a decade now!!) extended band also do a bang on job as always. We miss Brother Dan (but know that he rests easily in Flemington, New Jersey), and of course, the original big man, Clarence himself. Do we have to say his name? (Of course we don't!!!). As Bruce so movingly put it in the segue from If I was the Priest into My City of Ruins From the super rare outtake opener from BTR "So young and in love" through tour newbies The River, Better Days and If I was the Priest, the latter two both brilliant fan sign requests (Better Days means so much more to me nowadays Jools, and the sign read "Bruce, only you can give this whole fucked up and beautiful world Better Days"), and onto to the powerhouse encore which officially started with a rip roaring Born on the USA (feel that Amp on Bruce's guitar vibrating in your chest!!!) through the ever rousing BTR, Bobby Jean (Stevie, this one's for you!!), Dancing (surely the most improved song ever written from studio to live), the epic 10th Avenue, then Twist and Shout and closing with the Boss on his own after the band waved goodbye, harmonica and acoustic guitar in hand, to close it out after 3 hours with a moving "I'll see you in my dreams" which along with Last Man Standing, a tribute to The Castilles, Bruce's 1st band, of whom only he remains still standing and during both of which I seem to have got something in my eye as the tears almost flowed!!. "

"Fantastic set list. Priest was a real treat."

Richard 5/15/2024 12:42:41 AM

"Closest we get in Europe to an indoor show with the roof closed - somehow made the massive show feel more intimate. Years of Springsteen shows, this one is up there. Band were all on point and nothing was left on stage by the end of the night. Setlist speaks for itself"

"What a fantastic night, a dream tour opener. I thought he can‘t beat 2023 but this night was as good or even better than Dublin 3 in 2023. So young, Priest, The River as icing on a trenendous concert. Looking foreard to what the next gigd will bring"

Andy 5/10/2024 1:24:56 PM

"Fantastic concert "

Andy Moore 5/10/2024 12:45:49 PM

"An amazing gig, Springsteen and the band on top of their game! There is no one better live, 50 years of sheer brilliance. "

Jere 5/10/2024 10:41:56 AM

"I’ve followed Bruce’s career since I was a teenager and attended the first Wembley arena show in 1981. Then many times after. What happened on this Sunday evening in Cardiff was impossibly brilliant. He was fired up. He was on the case. Thanks, Nugs for providing proof that I didn’t imagine the whole thing. "
