The committee for Humboldt Green Genes are working to bring a ballot initiative before the voters in Humboldt county calling for an agricultural ban on the growing of all "genetically modified" crops, plants and animals in our farms and fields. Our sister county, Mendocino, just passed such a ban in March, making it the first US county to Just Say No! to the biotech invasion, headed by Monsanto Chemical Corporation who want to control all the seeds and genes of Mother Earth.

String Cheese Incident, People Productions joined forces with Humboldt Green Genes to produce a benefit concert for the Humboldt County initiative on Friday, July 16th at Benbow Lake State Park on the banks of the beautiful Eel River in Garberville, California.
