"I thought this show was soooo awesome, but I heard so many people say they didn`t like it because they played some songs from their new album. Whatever, i thought they played an awesome show... i was just dancin my face off the whole time. Definitely a worthy cheese show, especially the black clouds opener and Way Back Home. And don`t forget that insane Ring of Fire."

"I feel like the cheese played an amazing show for a begining of the summer tour. I remember when everyone thought the show was over and started leaving, I was talking to some friends and they started playing Ring of Fire I got chills down my spine. That was my highlight of Wakarusa right there. Great job guys, and thanks for the great show. Keep it up. Oh and the glowstick war timing couldn`t have been better...went perfect with the music."

"BEST SONG OF THE NIGHT: One Step Closer I know I grooved my ass off when they played it. Just listen to the crowd go nuts when they break it down and get funky."

"I can`t believe everyone hated it. I loved it but I was front row and it was only the second time I`d ever seen them. Maybe that had something to do with it but they had so many seemless transitions. Some sloppy wookie came up and sweat all over me and started screaming, "COME ON! COME ON! Rock out! Quit holding back!" I didn`t know what he was talking about because I thought they were tearing it up. But everyone seems to agree with said sloppy wook. So...I guess I need to check out some other live cheese because I thought this show rocked and apparently everyone thinks this show was crap."

"not every show can be a fillmore run. that doesnt make it a bad show. i had a blast and i thought they were both as good as most the other shows besides hornings, fillmore and a few others of course."

"I saw this show and I was blown away. I thought this show was alot better than saturday nights. I felt tons of energy and the glowstick war was insane. "

"Alright both nights at Waka were not the best nights of cheese ever, but they were trying to get out some new material and it was first concert to kick off the tour/summer. Listening to it again, the first night had some pretty tight grooves...better than i remembered to say the least. The 2nd night had some personal favorites, and it was my first time to hear Texas live. Even though Billy kinda chops the lyrics, the jam in the middle totally redeems...Not the best cheese sets ever, but you know a band is leet when you`re comparing how good they are to themselves. See you at Red Rocks. Lames"

"Kang`s a metro. Enough said. Anyone hear the STS9 fans telling the story of how Billy`s the Butch and Kangs the bitch?!?!?!?! pretty funny if you ask me"

"I had a great time at this show. True some of the vocals may have been butchered but it is a tight show. You should have seen the energy travis and kyle put into the performance. Can`t wait to see them again."

    timmy 6/22/2005 8:34:12 PM

"ive only seen 4 shows besides these 2 but i have a ton of their stuff and its all i listen to but liked this night better than the next. county road blues is my favorite jam,but i never thought id see it myself live.and i had my peak of my lifetime during "it is" . i wasnt far away, but far enough so that i was able to have plenty of room to dance and have a good time. it hard to have a good time at any show if you dont have room to dance."

    andrew 6/22/2005 3:15:47 PM

"I sure hope string cheese plays a concert like this when i see them in richmond big summer classic"

    Steinsato 6/22/2005 2:34:42 PM

"The wakarusa shows were the 7th and 8th time I have seen Cheese and I must say the 6-17 show was not very good. Lots of mellow songs. The whole show kind of seemed to drag on. Fortunately they totally redeemed themselves the following night in the Revival tent. (which was a much smaller venue than the sundown stage which is where they played on the 17th.)"

"Well on the contrary to the rest of the reviewers, myself and the other say thousand people that I could see the face of in the crowd rather enjoyed ourself at this show. I dont get to see the cheese every week of the year so when I get to go to a show it is definitely the highlight of my month if not year. First time playing two new songs at that. Sign me up. "

"This was by far the worst cheese I have ever seen. There are some highlights, such as One Step Closer and Way Back Home, but I would not waste my money on this show. If you are smart, you would buy the next night with the insane Rivertrance, Texas and This Must Be the Place."

    Cheese Fanatic 6/22/2005 7:35:08 AM

"I know many people felt that this show wasn`t any good, but I think this is a solid show, especially for the start of the tour. Perhaps people were having a hard time adjusting to the large crowd, or the short 2-hour festival set, and that`s why they though this show wasn`t very good. But listen to this recording, and I guarantee you`ll have a change of heart. The first show is tight, and mostly well played, with a few exceptions - much to be expected for the first night of the tour. Yes, the second night was a higher energy affair, but the first night is much better than I expected after reading some of the reviews on the various lists. And the sound quality on the 6/17 show is phenomenal. "

    ryan 6/22/2005 3:42:41 AM

"hate to say it, but after seein the cheese about a hundred times this show totally blew big time, no energy except a few very short moments, sound was horrible, first time i ever left a cheese show to go see another band, the next night however they redeemed themselves in a huge way, don`t bother with this show its all about the late night!!!!"
