Show Notes

“Thank you, good evening,” says Belew after a sadly incomplete Level Five provides us with the start of King Crimson’s first visit to Russia’s capital.

After a barnstorming ProzaKc Blues there’s a slightly expanded introduction to The ConstruKction Of Light from Fripp as not everyone in the band was quite as ready as they had first thought.

“Kind and beautiful Muscovites,” sighs Adrian Belew after the band has vigorously explained the Facts Of Life to the obviously excited audience.

Overall, it’s a solid enough show despite the odd occasion in which the band’s energy level fluctuates. Writing about the show on the Elephant Talk newsletter at the time, Erik Dean DePoy expressed the hope that the show would be released. Well, 18 years later Erik, here it is.
