When this incarnation formed in 2013 Jakko recalls Robert telling him that they’d be playing LTIA Part I. “As a fanboy, I thought, “Wow, that’s amazing. That’s not been played live since the ‘70s,” Jakko told Rolling Stone. Fripp said that Jakko would be playing the fast cross-picking section. “And I thought, “I can’t fucking play that — are you mad?” I didn’t say that, but that was my internal monologue.”
