With a team-band liker Crimson it might seem unfair to single out individuals but in this performance Adrian Belew is a dazzling fiery presence.
The material he did so much to shape is presented here as a euphoric concoction that isn't born from rock or pop but is a kind of rocket fuel distilled from ambition, geography and experience that propels this version of Crimson clean off the planet.
Thela packs a devastating punch; a knockout collision between on-the-fly improvisation and the can judgement of what makes a good story great. Whilst Belew cuts the narrative some slack, this song is as sharp as an arrowhead and fired off with a dead-eye precision that brings Crimheads out in a cold sweat.
