When this track first appeared 47 years ago it represented the shock of the new when it came to the mix of brutal power and surgical precision. The inclusion of a solo spot for Gavin Harrison reconfigures something of the overall dynamic and despite the years of familiarity, the piece still has the power to shock and awe. Highlights include Tony Levin’s wonderfully mobile bass lines and a rallying solo from Collins that recalls some of the agile moves he made when he first began playing the song in 1971 and a passing reference to Duke Ellington.
