"I’ve been to a number of red rocks shows. Probably too few considering this was the first one I got rained on. It was a weird one. The rain and lightning break. But fuck… people left and I had some room to Dance. The tunes were fantastic. I was sober and the music got me high. Good shit. I’ll remember these RR shows "

"Already reliving the last two nights on the way to airport to get back home to New Orleans (2nd night isn’t posted yet and can’t wait). In the scores of concerts I’ve attended in my 46 years on this earth including previous Sturgill/JBS events, there was something different about these two. To see my favorite artist of the last 30 years in my favorite venue in the world was a religious experience."

"What a show! The rain came, the lightning too. I've seen my fair share of cold, rainy shows here, and most bands just survive. But when they resumed, it was pedal to the metal until curfew. Listening to it, you'd never guess it was cold and wet up there. Somehow they were even better in these trying conditions. This whole tour has been great to listen to here, but I think this night is one of his all-time best. In person it was one of my all-time best RR experiences"

"Well it was wet, cold, and I had a blast!! Sturgill always puts on an amazing live show and this one didn’t disappoint, despite a 40 minute weather delay and on and off rain the entire show. He played right till curfew at 11:30, making it about a 3.5 hour show of music as he started exactly at 7:30. Whiter shade of pale was such a great opener, brace for impact was jammed out for about 15 - 20 minutes before the weather delay. Long white line stood out as a particularly great version, lay down sally and black dog we’re smoking, LA women is always great, railroad of sin is as jammed out to perfection, scooter blues had me dancing my ass off, Jupiter fairies is such an amazing new song, midnight rider capped off a night of sick covers, it ain’t all flowers was rock n roll heaven, and welcome to earth was an emotional release, overall an A show despite challenging weather…"
