    REAPER 1/29/2007 7:11:00 PM

"This is my favorite show of `06. I saw at least 10 shows in 2006, which i know pales in comparison to some of you, and was only disappointed with one (Knoxville in June). Of this shows, some of which were incredible, this is by far my favorite. Great 1st Set - A Ringo OPENER, Great Resolution, and kinda early Morning Song were all highlights. The Reaper goes above and beyond the normal Umphrey`s cover - some of their cover choices are great (any Floyd, escpecially Shine On...), some are not so great (Beatles and some others). The Reaper is just incredible. Musically they are money, Jake and Brendan nail the two part vocal, and Jake rips the solo. You`ll recognize on the disc, there is a pause after the first verse of Reaper and everyone at the show was wondering whether they`d finish it. When the second verse started the Egypitan Room erupted. 2nd Set - Is all about Front Porch - this is one of my favorite "modern day" versions - with a Jimmy sandwiched in the middle. Triple Wide is great as always, as is Plunger. Got Your Milk is probably my LEAST favorite UM song, but even it rocked. Really good uninterrupted Utopian Fir, and the JaJunk closer melts your face off. Its a toss-up as to which show I`ve actually listed to most from this year, this one or the back to back McNear`s Mystic shows in April. You should buy all three and you won`t be disappointed."
